In this week’s Come Follow Me lesson we come across one of my favorite scriptures which is Mosiah 2:17 “And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”
I have found in my life that when I am feeling down or not as spiritually strong that serving others has helped to renew my connection to the spirit and strengthened my testimony. We have a unique opportunity as ministering brothers to reach out to those who we have been assigned. A simple text message or a call to our families right now can go a long way. We have some families who may need assistance with the sacrament or other small service needs that we can help with. I want to encourage you to pray in ways that you may serve during this time. I know as you do so the spirit will prompt you to ideas and thoughts on how you can help during this time.
We are certainly in a unique time right now with uncertainty about what the future will hold. We have been greatly blessed to celebrate General Conference and Easter recently. I have been renewed by the messages shared at conference and by being able to reflect more deeply on the Savior’s atoning sacrifice. Thank you for your dedicated service during this time. If there is anything that the Elder’s Quorum Presidency can do to help during this time please let us know. We love you.
P.S. Hopefully soon we can play Cornhole so Bro. Taylor and Bro. Hill can lose again!!!!
